Là où se trouvait autrefois le Château d'Etzenrade, vous trouverez maintenant un magnifique espace où l'histoire, l'archéologie, la nature et le paysage, l'eau, l'éducation et la récréation sont réunis de manière exceptionnelle.
Il ne reste que peu de choses du château, mais les fossés ont été bien reconstruits grâce à des recherches archéologiques. Ceux-ci ont été excavés en 2019 et servent maintenant de tampon d'eau.
Les fossés encerclent deux îles. Sur la deuxième île se trouve un jardin archéologique. L'île située devant est le site historique du château détruit. Ici se dresse maintenant une porte en acier corten, qui relie l'Etzenrader Huisken et la petite île au jardin archéologique.
