À environ 30 km à l'est de la ville, près de la rivière Chorakhe Sam Phan. U-Thong était autrefois une ville prospère pendant la période Dvaravati avant qu'Ayutthaya ne soit fondée comme capitale en 1350. Le musée national U-Thong dans le district d'U-Thong présente des artefacts et des matériaux archéologiques, tels que des outils, des ustensiles et des images de Bouddha trouvées lors des fouilles et montre le développement des communautés établies à Suphan Buri à différentes époques.
