Ongeveer 30 km ten oosten van de stad nabij de Chorakhe Sam Phan-rivier. U-Thong was ooit een welvarende stad tijdens de Dvaravati-periode voordat Ayutthaya in 1350 als hoofdstad werd opgericht. Het U-Thong Nationaal Museum in het U-Thong-district toont artefacten en archeologische materialen, zoals gereedschappen, gebruiksvoorwerpen en Boeddhabeelden die zijn gevonden tijdens opgravingen en laat de ontwikkeling van gemeenschappen in Suphan Buri in verschillende periodes zien.
