Il nome "Het Pandreitje" a Bruges è entrato nella storia come il nome di una prigione. Nel 1827, la casa della carne è stata trasformata in una prigione statale e tale rimase fino al 1989. Per tutto quel tempo, la prigione era chiamata con il nome della strada su cui si trovava. E tutti sapevano cosa significava "Lui è nel 't Pandreitje". La vecchia prigione è stata demolita nel 1992. Doveva fare spazio per un'urbanizzazione nel centro città con 75 abitazioni.
