Il Semois attraversa il ardesia lussemburghese con numerosi e talvolta molto ripidi tornanti. Il meandro più famoso è forse quello di Botassart, un borgo di Ucimont e quindi di Bouillon. Il ristretto "promontorio" all'interno di quel meandro è chiamato Graf van de Reus. Le pendenze ricordano le pareti di un sarcofago. In passato, sulla collina alberata di latifoglie, furono piantati pini a forma di croce; questo era ben visibile in inverno. Ma ora non si può più riconoscerlo. Puoi ancora vederlo nelle immagini satellitari e nelle fotografie aeree.
