Bekkerzeel è una frazione del comune di Asse, situato nella provincia di Fiandra Orientale nel Pajottenland. Bekkerzeel era un comune indipendente fino alla ristrutturazione comunale del 1977. Bekkerzeel si trovava nel periodo carolingio nella regione del Brabante e successivamente, fino alla fine del XVIII secolo, nel quartiere di Bruxelles del Ducato di Brabante, nel Sacro Romano Impero. Nella parrocchia di Bekkerzeel, nel 1789, il comando delle truppe degli Stati Uniti dei Paesi Bassi fu trasferito al generale Jan Andries vander Mersch.
