Bekkerzeel is een deelgemeente van de Vlaams-Brabantse gemeente Asse in het Pajottenland. Bekkerzeel was een zelfstandige gemeente tot aan de gemeentelijke herindeling van 1977.Bekkerzeel lag in de Karolingische tijd in de Brabantgouw en later, tot het einde van de 18e eeuw in het kwartier Brussel van het Hertogdom Brabant, in het Heilige Roomse Rijk. Op de pastorij van Bekkerzeel werd in 1789 het bevel van de troepen van de Verenigde Nederlandse Staten overgedragen aan generaal Jan Andries vander Mersch.
