Bekkerzeel ist ein Teilgemeinde der flämisch-brabantischen Gemeinde Asse im Pajottenland. Bekkerzeel war eine selbstständige Gemeinde bis zur Gemeindereform von 1977. Bekkerzeel lag in der Karolingerzeit in der Brabantgouw und später, bis zum Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts, im Viertel Brüssel des Herzogtums Brabant im Heiligen Römischen Reich. Auf der Pfarrstelle von Bekkerzeel wurde 1789 der Befehl der Truppen der Vereinigten Niederländischen Staaten an General Jan Andries vander Mersch übergeben.
