Il Parco delle Capre si trova lungo il 'Grande Bacino', un bacino idrico realizzato tra il 1863 e il 1865. Il Grande Bacino è la maggiore area verde nel centro di Roeselare. Le capre lo sapevano già molto tempo prima – da qui il nome! Nel parco si trova la sede della confraternita degli arcieri 'San Sebastiano' – da qui anche i nomi 'Parco di San Sebastiano' e 'Via Gaaipers' nelle vicinanze.
