Il Veltwijckpark forma il cuore verde di Ekeren, in cui si trova anche il municipio del distretto. In origine era una tenuta di caccia. L'edificio principale, in stile tradizionale in mattoni e pietra arenaria, consiste in un castello d'acqua a forma di U risalente al XVI secolo, situato all'interno di un parco rettangolare circondato da fossati. È collegato alla Veltwijcklaan tramite un viale ciottolato. Dal 1929 la tenuta è di proprietà di Ekeren e il parco è stato aperto al pubblico. Fino a pochi anni fa, nella tenuta, all'altezza di Lindenlei, era presente anche uno stadio di calcio. Questo è stato ormai demolito e riunito come un campo aperto nel parco.
