Il Parkbosbrug E40 è uno dei due ponti del parco forestale. I ponti del parco forestale rientrano nella realizzazione del progetto 'Parkbos'. Si tratta di due ponti per biciclette e pedoni. Questi sono situati sopra la Ringvaart/R4 e sopra l'E40. I ponti costituiscono un anello necessario per la creazione di una connessione di traffico lento sull'ex letto ferroviario tra la città di Gand da un lato e il polo verde Parkbos e i nuclei abitativi a sud di Gand dall'altro.
