Appassionato di birra, il mastro birraio Olivier Op De Beeck, sia a livello privato che professionale, ha sempre cercato di scoprire il come e il perché presso diversi birrifici in patria e all'estero. Nel 2012 ha quindi assunto per la prima volta il mestolo in mano e ha creato le sue prime birre. Nel 2016 il Birrificio De Klem ha lanciato sul mercato la sua prima birra Hellegat Blond. Il birrificio si è stabilito a Niel (Galileilaan) e apre regolarmente le sue porte per introdurre tutti gli interessati al lavoro e alla vita del birrificio del paese… ovviamente con degustazioni e animazioni necessarie.
