La casa Pro Juventute Air et Soleil fu costruita su commissione del barone Louis Empain. Dopo un incidente su una barca, senza conseguenze negative, la vita del barone Empain subisce una svolta. L'industriale decide di cambiare il suo stile di vita. Rinuncia al suo titolo nobiliare, limita al minimo le sue attività redditizie e fonda la Fondazione Pro Juventute. Questa fondazione caritativa aveva come obiettivo l'elevazione e lo sviluppo dei giovani, sia a livello morale, intellettuale che fisico. L'architetto Antoine Courtens, che aveva già realizzato vari progetti su commissione di Louis Empain, riceve l'incarico di progettare questa casa.
