La Isola Settentrionale è un bel e sorprendente angolo di natura, vicino allo sbarramento marittimo di Wintam. Alcuni anni fa, l'Isola Settentrionale era un paesaggio lunare artificiale. Oggi è una bellissima area naturale di 50 ettari con cespugli di salice alternati, prati ricchi di erbe, dune di sabbia, fanghi e specchi d'acqua.
Le mucche Galloway e i cavalli Konik conferiscono al paesaggio un aspetto particolare. Anche gli uccelli acquatici e migratori si trovano a loro agio qui.
