Caffè De Koophandel è passato di generazione in generazione. La storia del caffè Koophandel inizia con Mieke 'la strabica', che aveva due figlie, Emma e Liske. Emma acquistò il caffè nel 1920. La figlia di Emma, Gusta, stette dietro il bancone dal 1963. Nel 1988 Maria Goudry rilevò il caffè e nel frattempo sua figlia, Sheila Lauwers, sta dietro al bar.
