Il castello d'acqua storico risale al quindicesimo secolo ed è uno dei più antichi del Waasland. Il castello è stato utilizzato come Belderbos nella prima stagione di Capitano Zeppos. La fortezza fa parte del sito culturale insieme al teatro Ter Vesten, alla biblioteca e alla casa dei giovani Togenblik.
