Queste otto case, costruite secondo uno schema di immagini speculari , si trovano sulla Predikherenstraat a Wingene. Furono costruiti nel 1928 per i dipendenti del centro radiofonico associato del servizio Radio Maritime Services.
Il 13 dicembre 1923 re Alberto I pose la prima pietra della stazione trasmittente.
Il 3 ottobre 1927 fu inaugurato il primo collegamento radiotelegrafico, Bruxelles-New York ; i primi messaggi con il cartello stradale "via BELRADIO" hanno raggiunto direttamente l'America, lungo una strada belga.
