Diese acht spiegelbildlich gebauten Häuser befinden sich in der Predikherenstraat in Wingene. Sie wurden 1928 für die Bediensteten des zugehörigen Funkzentrums des Radio Maritime Services Service gebaut.
Am 13. Dezember 1923 legte König Albert I. den Grundstein der Sendestation.
Die erste Funktelegrafenverbindung Brüssel-New York wurde am 3. Oktober 1927 eingeweiht; Die ersten Nachrichten mit dem Straßenschild "via BELRADIO" erreichten Amerika direkt über eine belgische Straße.
