Donne leggermente curve con un ramoscello d'ulivo stanno in piedi presso un'alta colonna. Un ramoscello d'ulivo è un simbolo di pace nella cultura europea. Il ramoscello d'ulivo rappresenta la pace, la riconciliazione e la speranza. Il simbolismo è molto antico, l'olivo cresce lentamente e ha bisogno di riposo e di tempo per fiorire. Dove crescono molti ulivi sembra che ci sia pace per molto tempo . Probabilmente è per questo che i Greci usavano il ramoscello d'ulivo come simbolo di pace.
Il monumento fu inaugurato l'11 ottobre 1931.
