La leggenda narra che in passato da questo punto venissero gettati negli abissi vecchi cavalli non più utili, ma in realtà si trattava di carcasse di cavalli morti - non di animali vivi - che venivano gettate da questa roccia e lasciate come preda per i rapaci degli animali selvatici.
