La Brasserie La Houppe è stata fondata nel 2013 da cinque amanti della birra. La birreria è rimasta per 9 anni presso la ex birreria Balon-Parin a Namur. La produzione è aumentata lentamente ma costantemente. Gli amici hanno deciso di acquistare un nuovo edificio. La loro attenzione si è concentrata sulla ex asta delle fragole a Wépion. Nella grande sala sono rimasti i vecchi banchi d'asta e il orologio dell'asta. La capacità produttiva della birra è ormai di 10.000 a 15.000 hl. La birra più famosa della birreria è La Houppe, una tripel bionda (7,5% alc.).
