Kleinwangen è una frazione del comune svizzero di Hohenrain, nel collegio elettorale di Hochdorf, nel Canton Lucerna.
Il villaggio si trova su un versante sud-occidentale del Lindenberg. Lo Spittlisbach scorre attraverso il villaggio nel lago Baldegg. A ovest si trova la frazione di Ferren. Al centro del paese si trova il distretto di Dorf, a est si trova il distretto di Oberdorf. Altri due corsi d'acqua scorrono a nord di Kleinwangen e Ferren in direzione sud-ovest verso il lago Baldegg: l'Höhebach e lo Scheidbach. Parte del corso di quest'ultimo forma il confine comunale con Gelfingen. A nord-est di Kleinwangen-Oberdorf si trovano il Buchwald e il Wanger Tannwald, in cui hanno origine sia lo Spittlis che l'Höhebach.
