La chiesa gotica di Nostra Signora davanti a Týn domina un lato di Piazza della Città Vecchia. La chiesa è considerata una delle caratteristiche dominate essenziali del centro storico della città. È stata la chiesa principale della Città Vecchia fin dal XIV secolo. L'interno della chiesa è uno dei più ricchi che si possano vedere a Praga. Ci sono molte opere d'arte gotiche, rinascimentali e barocche. La persona più famosa sepolta qui è l'astronomo danese Tycho Brahe, che lavorò per l'Imperatore del Sacro Romano Impero Rodolfo II nel XVI secolo alla sua corte praghese.
