Ebersburg confina a nord con il comune di Künzell, a est con il comune di Poppenhausen e la città di Gersfeld, a sud con il mercato di Wildflecken e il comune di Motten, e a ovest con i comuni di Kalbach ed Eichenzell.
Ebersberg è un insediamento sparso ed è la frazione con la superficie più grande del comune di Ebersburg. È composto da diversi villaggi e principalmente da fattorie isolate a nord del Lütter. Alla sua estremità orientale si trova l'Ebersberg con l'Ebersburg, che è circondato su tre lati dalla frazione di Gackenhof.
