Hechthausen, noto anche come "la porta del Cuxland", è un comune situato a est del distretto di Cuxhaven, nella Bassa Sassonia. Appartiene alla comunità plurale di Hemmoor.
Hechthausen è delimitato a nord, est e sud dal corso d'acqua dell'Oste, che qui viene attraversato dalla ferrovia Niederelbebahn Cuxhaven–Stade–Amburgo e dalla strada federale 73 che corre quasi in parallelo.
