Il monastero di Marienborn a Zülpich-Hoven è un ex abbazia cistercense situata ai margini dell'Eifel. Fu fondato nel 1188 da cistercensi provenienti dal monastero di San Tommaso sulla Kyll. Tra gli abitanti del monastero più illustri si annovera san Hermann Giuseppe di Steinfeld, che visse qui per un breve periodo e morì nel 1246. L'attuale chiesa del monastero ospita la "Madonna di Hoven", una delle sculture romaniche più significative della Renania del XII secolo. Nella abside sono incorporati blocchi di pietra con iscrizioni romane. Si possono riconoscere le iscrizioni latine che indicano un santuario per matronae.
