Friedersdorf era fino al 2003 un comune autonomo nel Brandeburgo, a sud-est di Berlino, nel distretto di Dahme-Spreewald. Da quel momento è una frazione del comune di Heidesee.
Friedersdorf si trova a circa 25 km a sud-est dal confine della città di Berlino, circa 15 km a est di Königs Wusterhausen e 60 km a ovest di Francoforte. Friedersdorf si trova direttamente a ovest del confine tra i distretti di Dahme-Spreewald e Oder-Spree. Nelle vicinanze si trovano alcune aree naturali protette come il canale di Skabyer Torfgraben, il canale di Storkower e le montagne di Swatzke e Skaby. A est e a sud di Friedersdorf si estende il parco naturale di Dahme-Heideseen.
