Friedersdorf was tot 2003 een zelfstandige gemeente in Brandenburg, zuidoost van Berlijn in de Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald. Sinds die tijd is het een deelgemeente van de gemeente Heidesee.
Friedersdorf ligt ongeveer 25 km zuidoostelijk van de stadsgrens van Berlijn, ongeveer 15 km oostelijk van Königs Wusterhausen en 60 km westelijk van Frankfurt. Friedersdorf ligt direct ten westen van de grens tussen de landkreisen Dahme-Spreewald en Oder-Spree. In de buurt bevinden zich verschillende natuurgebieden zoals de Skabyer Torfgraben, het Storkower Kanaal en de Swatzke- en Skabybergen. Oostelijk en zuidelijk van Friedersdorf strekt zich het natuurpark Dahme-Heideseen uit.
