Gellmersbach si trova nella valle del Gellmer, un affluente dell'Eberbach, che a sua volta sfocia nella Sulm, e quindi in una valle laterale della valle di Weinsberg. I comuni più vicini sono Eberstadt ed Erlenbach, il Lennach che appartiene a Eberstadt e la città di Weinsberg. Proprio oltre il precedente confine municipale di Weinsberg si trova il Klinikum am Weissenhof.
