Il Consorzio Agger è un ente pubblico e uno dei undici consorzi per la gestione delle acque speciali della Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia. È responsabile della gestione delle acque nel bacino idrografico dell'Agger e ha la sede a Gummersbach.
Il Consorzio Agger è responsabile della depurazione delle acque reflue nel bacino dell'Agger e gestisce a questo scopo 31 impianti di depurazione. Inoltre, è responsabile della protezione contro le inondazioni e dell'aumento delle acque basse. L'impianto centrale a tal fine è la diga dell'Agger, che serve anche per l'approvvigionamento idrico e offre molte opportunità per il tempo libero. Inoltre, il Consorzio Agger gestisce due dighe per l'acqua potabile, la diga di Genkeltal e la diga di Wiehltal, con impianti idrici ad Auchel e Erlenhagen. Qui avviene il trattamento dell'acqua potabile di 25 milioni di metri cubi all'anno per circa 500.000 abitanti tramite 20 aziende fornitrici.
