Kessel è una frazione della città di Goch nel distretto di Kleve, nella Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia. Il villaggio ha 2134 abitanti. Nel concorso Il nostro villaggio ha un futuro, il luogo ha vinto una medaglia d'oro nel 2006 insieme ad altri sette villaggi della Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia.
Come Goch, anche Kessel si trova lungo il fiume Niers. Oltre al nucleo del villaggio, fanno parte di esso le località di Nergena e Grunewald. Il confine occidentale del luogo coincide con il confine dei Paesi Bassi, con i villaggi di Ottersum e Gennep. A nord-ovest, la Foresta Imperiale delimita il luogo.
