Elgueta[1] è un comune della provincia di Gipuzkoa nel Paese Basco, Spagna. Appartiene alla comarca dell'Alto Deva. Ha una popolazione di 1131 abitanti secondo il registro del 2017 e una superficie di 16,83 km². La sua densità di popolazione è di 67,20 ab./km². Si trova su un promontorio poco riparato, situato strategicamente al confine tra Gipuzkoa e Biscaglia. Fin dai primi tempi della storia della comunità, la sua economia è stata eminentemente rurale. La creazione di poli industriali negli ultimi anni del XX secolo ha portato all'insediamento di un numero rilevante di aziende.
