Le quattro calette sono un paesaggio protetto della Regione di Murcia. Sono considerate come Luogo di Interesse Comunitario e appartengono alla rete Natura 2000.[1]
Situata nel comune di Águilas, includono le calette di Calarreona, La Higuerica, La Carolina e Los Cocedores, quest'ultima già nelle vicinanze della provincia di Almería. L'erosione del vento e del mare ha prodotto paesaggi singolari, con numerose affioramenti vulcanici. Tra di essi si trova il vulcano di Punta Parda, che è considerato di grande importanza geologica.
