Il 10 agosto 1679 fu fondato ad Adeje un monastero sotto il patronato di Nostra Signora di Guadalupe e di San Paolo, per iniziativa di D. Juan Bautista de Ponte Fonte y Pagés, primo marchese di Adeje. Fu fondata da otto o nove religiosi dell'ordine francescano e fu la diciannovesima della provincia.
Nel 1802 erano rimasti solo tre fratelli e un laico. Dopo l'esclusione nel 1835, l'edificio fu progressivamente demolito a partire dall'inizio di questo secolo e trasformato in sede del consiglio comunale.
