Situata vicino al centro di Besançon, La Rodia si è affermata come polo culturale per la musica contemporanea. Con un programma esigente ed eclettico, ospita circa 70 serate all'anno e attira 38.000 spettatori.
La Rodia è stata insignita del marchio "scène de musiques actuelles" dal Ministero della Cultura francese e sostiene artisti locali e internazionali, incoraggia il lavoro creativo (studi, supporto artistico) e sviluppa attività culturali per un'ampia gamma di pubblici.
Offre inoltre un vero e proprio luogo da vivere: biglietteria, bar, ristorazione in loco, spazio di mediazione e punto di accoglienza accessibile.
