Il Queyras è una valle del dipartimento delle Alte Alpi, ma anche un parco naturale regionale, dove si pratica lo sci in inverno e l'escursionismo in estate. È attraversato dal GR 58 che consente di fare il giro o dal GR 5.
La valle è attraversata dal Guil e comprende otto comuni oggi riuniti all'interno di una comunità di comuni: Arvieux, Abriès, Aiguilles, Ceillac, Château-Ville-Vieille, Molines-en-Queyras, Ristolas e Saint-Véran. Ceillac non faceva parte del Queyras storico: apparteneva alla diocesi di Embrun (e non di Briançon) e non era compreso nell'escarton del Queyras.
