Sulla Montagne de Wervicq, nel parco del Castello Dalle-Dumont, si trova un monumento tedesco eretto nel 1915 sul quale si vede un'infermiera che si prende cura di un uomo costretto a letto. Ricorda che durante la Grande Guerra le forze di occupazione avevano allestito qui un cimitero accanto al "Lazzaretto" installato nel castello. Qui venivano curati i soldati feriti nella zona vicino a Ypres. Il cimitero tedesco, spostato un po' più in alto negli anni '20, contiene oggi i resti di 2.506 soldati, tra cui 8 austro-ungarici.
