Auf dem Berg von Wervicq, im Park des Schlosses Dalle-Dumont, steht ein 1915 errichtetes deutsches Denkmal, auf dem eine Krankenschwester zu sehen ist, die einen bettlägerigen Mann pflegt. Es erinnert daran, dass die Besatzer während des Ersten Weltkriegs hier einen Friedhof angelegt hatten, der an das im Schloss eingerichtete "Lazarett" angrenzte. Dort wurden die verwundeten Soldaten aus der Gegend um Ypern behandelt. Der deutsche Friedhof wurde in den 1920er Jahren etwas weiter auf den "Berg" verlegt und beherbergt heute die sterblichen Überreste von 2.506 Soldaten, darunter 8 österreichisch-ungarische.
