Situato nel comune di Saint Etienne du Valdonnez, il laghetto si trova nel cuore del Parco Nazionale delle Cévennes ed è stato premiato con la "Carta Europea del Turismo Sostenibile". Per arrivarci, si può prendere la strada D35 che collega il Col de Montmirat al Pont de Montvert. Il laghetto è aperto alla pesca dal 1° luglio al 31 agosto compreso e nei fine settimana e nei giorni festivi dal 1° maggio al 30 giugno.
