Presenti a Langres dal 1623 al 1984, le suore dell'Annonciade si dedicarono alla contemplazione divina. Oltre ai voti di castità, povertà e obbedienza, si impegnavano in una stretta clausura e in un totale ritiro dal mondo. Inizialmente con sede in una residenza vicina, la congregazione acquistò la casa di Jean Girault, signore di Croy, nel 1624. Questo terreno, ampliato da acquisti successivi, permise alla congregazione di costruire una nuova cappella più grande nel 1684. Il convento stesso fu ricostruito nel 1704. La sobrietà dell'insieme riflette senza dubbio l'austerità e l'abnegazione delle sorelle Annonciade.
