I MAYET, un'antica famiglia le cui origini risalgono al XVI secolo, erano costruttori di cattedrali provenienti dal centro della Francia dell'epoca.
Nel 1852 si stabilirono nel sud-ovest della Francia, su terreni agricoli dove praticarono l'agricoltura mista.
Nel 1971 furono prodotte le prime bottiglie del Domaine du Bois de Pourquié e, a poco a poco, l'azienda familiare si dedicò esclusivamente alla produzione di vino, fino a raggiungere oggi la superficie di 30 ettari.
