Descritta dal dottor Janicaud nel volume 26 delle Mémoires de la Société des Sciences de la Creuse (1935), rappresenta all'incirca una figura seduta ricavata da un unico blocco di granito alto 1,10 metri. La testa è sferica; gli occhi e le narici sono rappresentati da semplici fori rotondi, la bocca da una scanalatura orizzontale. Le braccia sono raffigurate accanto al corpo. Si pensa che questa figura rappresenti una divinità gallica del primo secolo d.C.. I druidi avrebbero eseguito dei rituali per proteggere il bestiame. La religione cristiana ha adottato questa credenza pagana per i propri scopi: "per domare il bestiame, bisognava fargli fare tre giri intorno alla marmotta recitando preghiere".
