Acle è una piccola città di mercato sul fiume Bure, nelle Norfolk Broads, situata a metà strada tra Norwich e Great Yarmouth. Ha l'unico ponte che attraversa il fiume Bure tra Wroxham e Great Yarmouth. Nella città c'è una scuola superiore.
La parrocchia civile ha un'area di 9,46 km² e nel 2001 aveva una popolazione di 2.732 in 1.214 nuclei familiari, aumentando a una popolazione di 2.824 in 1.285 nuclei familiari al censimento del 2011. Ai fini del governo locale, la parrocchia rientra nell'area del distretto di Broadland.
