Glencoe Lochan è un tratto di foresta situato a nord del villaggio di Glencoe nelle Highlands scozzesi. Fu piantato negli anni '90 del 1800 da Donald Alexander Smith, 1° Barone Strathcona e Mount Royal, con alberi trapiantati dal Pacific Northwest del Canada.
Dopo aver acquistato la tenuta di Glencoe nel 1895, Smith e sua moglie, Isabella Sophia Hardisty, si trasferirono dal Canada in Scozia. Subito dopo il loro arrivo, Isabella iniziò a sentirsi sempre più nostalgica per le sue terre ancestrali in Canada. Nel tentativo di alleviare la depressione di sua moglie, Smith fece piantare con grande cura questa foresta e la donò a lei come rifugio privato.
