La stazione ferroviaria di Wharram fu inaugurata dalla Malton and Driffield Railway nel maggio del 1853, servendo il villaggio di Wharram-le-Street nel North Yorkshire, Inghilterra, anche se l'area si trovava all'epoca nell'East Riding of Yorkshire. La stazione era anche vicino al deserto villaggio medievale di Wharram Percy e adiacente alla cava di calcare di Wharram.
La stazione con un solo binario aveva un binario di incrocio alla sua estremità meridionale, l'unico sulla linea. Aveva le consuete strutture merci per le stazioni di sosta, più un binario di accesso alla cava di Wharram, dominata da un grande silo di calcare.
