Il villaggio è costruito proprio accanto a questo campo di lava. Sembra che la lava sia arrivata fino al limite del villaggio di Kameni Chora. Ma sappiamo da fonti storiche che è successo l'opposto. Prima c'è stata questa (per ora) ultima eruzione vulcanica con questo campo di lava come risultato, e poi è stato costruito il villaggio.
