Ballymoe è un villaggio nella contea di Galway, Irlanda. Ballymoe si trova sul lato occidentale del fiume Suck che separa le contee di Galway e Roscommon. La strada nazionale secondaria N60 incontra la strada regionale R360 nel centro del villaggio.
Il nome Béal Átha Mó deriva da una fortezza che fu costruita da Meabh di Connacht, sotto l'ordine di Mogh. La fortezza e il villaggio sarebbero in seguito diventati noti come Átha Mogh Mór e Béal Átha Mogh. La città è ora il centro di una piccola area rurale impegnata nell'agricoltura mista su scala. Torbiere, fortezze e una roccia di massa risalente ai tempi di pena sono caratteristiche di Ballymoe oggi.
