Il più antico edificio pubblico del Gooi è il municipio di Naarden. Dopo la distruzione della città nel 1572, nel 1601 iniziò la costruzione del municipio. L'interior design dell'edificio è per lo più conservato, tra cui l'atrio, la Camera dei Giudici e la Camera del Sindaco. In soffitta si trova ora la sala dei cittadini con mobili provenienti dal precedente Gemeenlandshuis degli Erfgooiers.
