Sulla alta colonna siedono cinque figure. La figura della libertà emerge sopra le figure di cittadini e soldati e simboli di Fede, Giustizia, Speranza e Amore.
La pietra continuerà a testimoniare la venerazione per gli eroi dell'Airborne guidati dal Generale Roy Urquhart, che qui combatterono per la nostra libertà.
Nel 2011, in occasione della 65a edizione della camminata Airborne, è stato inaugurato un monumento Soldato con Ragazza dei Fiori.
Ogni anno, il primo sabato di settembre si svolge una camminata di un giorno, la più grande della sua specie in tutta Europa.
