Gennep, ponte sull'alto Maes - I costruttori di ponti
Che i ponti siano di importanza strategica in tempi di guerra non ha bisogno di spiegazioni. Ma cosa succede se non ci sono più ponti? Nel febbraio e marzo del 1945, i Royal Engineers inglesi costruirono un ponte Bailey lungo oltre un chilometro tra Oeffelt e Gennep. Un'abilità tecnica impressionante che Churchill e Montgomery vennero a controllare personalmente.
